USACV National Information Conference on the
Vocation of Consecrated Virginity Lived in the World

The USACV sponsors an annual summer informational conference about the vocation of consecrated virginity lived in the world. Virgins discerning a vocation to consecrated virginity lived in the world, those who have been accepted as candidates for the consecration, and newly consecrated virgins, are encouraged to attend the informational conference. Also welcome are pastors, diocesan vocation directors, spiritual directors, and others who may be working with consecrated virgins or those discerning or preparing for the vocation of consecrated virginity.

The informational conference generally begins on Tuesday evening and ends at noon on Friday. Presenters include the USACV Episcopal Moderator, the Most Reverend Earl A. Boyea, as well as other consecrated virgins. The days extensive catechesis on the vocation of consecrated virginity lived in the world, including discussion of essential elements, relation to other vocations, history, spirituality, prayer, and examination of the Rite of Consecration. Attendees pray together, meet consecrated virgins, hear personal testimonies, learn about the USACV, and learn the "next steps" in a discernment process.

Recent informational conferences have been held in the Chicago area.
